So it's yet again that anemic tried-tested-and-found-successful syndrome that keeps the Lakshmans and the Dravids of the country in the team. Not that they don't deserve a place but when are we building for the future? At a time when we get to watch electrifying WC football or see that historic tennis at Wimbledon the other day between Isner and Mahut, it could be wicked casuistry to speak about Indian cricket. It's just that seething sinking feeling when one sees Ghana/Uruguay/Chile or similar countries participating in world cups while a 100 cr populated country's tennis heroine falters at the initial rounds without a whimper.
