The new Colonel

These are festival times. One gets to eat lots of sweets. And the ones that suffer from foot-in-the-mouth like me, get to eat only humble-pie.

So, when Dhoni was conferred the Colonelship or Colonelhood by The Army, i thought i was a visionary in some ways. Please browse through these pages and you will notice i had already called him Major General many months ago. The fact he won this coveted honor for the same event that i called him a Major for, begs the question how could i be ignored.

Like it is very difficult to be consistently succesful these days, it is also that much easier to get recognition and an overdose of it these days.

Colonel, you deserve it nonetheless.  I have great respect for your humility. And you are also endowed with a very balanced head. All that you need is a set of good bowlers and you can conquer the world.
